Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Mini Review ~ August 2020

Angelena Iglesia

Just like the Kryptonite Evolution mini, the Fahgettaboudit Mini also stands out as one of the more well known U Lock choices from Kryptonite’s New York range, and for pretty good reason. At four and a half pounds, the heavy duty bike lock isn’t really light weight, and also doesn’t include a loop cable. It’s steel shackle is made out of max performance steel, and is thicker than most at 18 mm. This makes it and its high security disc resistant to bolt cutters and leverage attacks. The Fahgettaboudit Mini scores a clean 10/10 on Kryptonite’s security rating, making it the ultimate lock to guarantee all round theft protection. Take a minute or two to read through this review and help us decide whether or not it’s better than the bike locks or cable locks that we have on our best bike lock list.

Scientists shocked by ‘extraordinary’ discovery of unusual stars that could help explain the origins of life

Angelena Iglesia

Scientists have found new, peculiar stars that could help shed light on how life could begin in the universe.

Phosphorus is key for understanding the story of our universe, and of life on Earth. It forms a part of the DNA and RNA molecules that together create more complex structures including humans, and is required to power cells and their membranes.

But it also remains largely mysterious. Theoretical models of the evolution of chemicals within the galaxy have not been able to explain either the origin or the quantity of phosphorus that can be found within the Milky Way and our solar system.

Our current account of the way those chemicals come about suggests there should be far less phosphorus than is actually found. Measurements show that it is relatively abundant, enough to create

The different types of skateboards

Angelena Iglesia

In the beginning, it was just a flat wood deck and four metal wheels taken from old roller skates. Today, there are many different types of skateboards.

The evolution of skateboarding led to the development and refinement of different styles of skateboard decks.

Each one was designed to accommodate the demands of different riding conditions – performing tricks, cruising down the street, dropping in on a bowl or half-pipe, or speeding down a hill.

For example, the evolution of concave bends and kick tails increased the strength of the deck and made it a more versatile vehicle.

“Through the decades, the skateboard deck has gotten wider and then narrower, longer and shorter, and taller and lower to the ground,” underlines Matt Berger, founder or Sk8Makers and author of “The Handmade Skateboard.”

When it comes to size and shape, there are two main categories of skateboards: longboard skateboards and shortboard

Scientists invent smart electricity-storing bricks from ordinary ones, may offer emergency lighting in future

Angelena Iglesia

The walls of your home are capable of storing electricity, like batteries. It would need two materials: the humble red bricks and plastic, according to scientists who turned ordinary bricks into “smart” ones in their new study. It opens up the possibility of plugging gadgets directly into American homes.

In fact, bricks are known for absorbing and storing the sun’s heat. And because buildings can take up large amounts of space, researchers from Washington University in St Louis wondered if it can also store electricity. So they began testing the feasibility of the idea. The idea of developing smart bricks draws from Dr Julio D’Arcy’s previous work. He is the assistant professor of chemistry. Dr D’Arcy’s team has been working on developing plastics that allow electricity to flow through them or conductors. “Using a brick was a natural evolution for us because its pigment [rust] is a form of iron
