This satirical RNC website appeals to the “Modern QAnon Republican”

The 2020 Republican National Convention wraps up its four-night-long train wreck tonight, and if you’ve paid attention to any of it, you could be tempted into thinking their candidate for reelection is a sociopathic narcissist running on a platform of fear, intolerance, and authoritarian, conspiratorial doublespeak. Like, just check out the “official” Republican Nationalist Convention website, which is chock-full of legitimate facts about this year’s RNC attendees…

Alright, so it’s not the actual RNC homepage, but c’mon. How far off is it from reality, really? Created by the progressive Jewish organization, Bend the Arc: Jewish Action, the parody “Republican Nationalist Convention” site invites likeminded red-blooded (white-skinned) patriots to their Trumptastic meetup and QAnon info sessions. The site’s “Who We Are” page even gives a rundown of such party clowns like Rep. Matt Gaetz (“Replacement Theory Promoter”), Rep. Dan Crenshaw (“Racist Facebook Admin”), and

How Modern Life Knocks Our Biology out of Sync

Bear-hugging somebody you’ve never met is not natural, regardless of social-distancing rules. Certainly not in London, where you don’t even make eye contact with strangers. Yet, a little while before lockdown, Tony Riddle, also known as “the Natural Life-Stylist”, greets me open-armed outside Highgate Men’s Pond. The rising sun is glinting orange off the frost-covered grass. I’m glad of the body heat.

I’m no stranger to ice baths and cryotherapy, which have become cool in fitness circles. Still, I’m apprehensive. The regulars at the pond are doubtless bemused by the sight of us sitting in the open-air changing area, inhaling and exhaling in time with a meditation app in order to “down-regulate” our systems.

I can’t help but notice that Riddle is in terrific nick for a 45-year-old. In September last year, to raise money for green causes, he ran the length of the UK from Lands’ End to John

New Report Says COVID Pandemic Is ‘The Largest Mass Fatality Incident In Modern New York City History’

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – There’s a grim statistic about the coronavirus pandemic’s deadly impact in New York City.

A new report say it has become the largest mass fatality incident in city history.

In fiscal year 2019, nearly 31,000 deaths were reported citywide.

That number doubled this year, to more than 65,000.

Rev. Karen Davis-Lawson and her husband, Dr. Noel Lawson of the Bronx, both contracted coronavirus and ended up in the hospital.

“The day I was discharged from the hospital, he was admitted,” Rev. Davis-Lawson told CBS2’s Nick Caloway.  “He came to bring me my coat and stuff so that I could come home. And he asked them to test him.”

Dr. Lawson spent three weeks in the hospital. A long-time teacher, he was still grading coursework while fighting for his life.

“So he was very dedicated to the things he set his mind to. He loved his

Dreaming of modern design? Here’s where to start

A main idea in modern design is eliminating excess clutter or extra items. And with more folks spending time at home amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, you may find yourself sorting and purging some unneeded items from your space.

“One of the key beliefs behind the modern design movement is the idea that ‘form follows function,’” according to the Spruce. “In other words, the design of all furnishings and decorative objects should reflect its intended purpose, and if a furnishing, decor or decorating detail does not have a practical purpose, then it can be eliminated.”

When adding modern design touches to your space, there are some pillars of the style to consider. First and foremost, it’s all about the neutral colors and natural materials. Modern design also tends to favor open-concept floor plans, the website House Beautiful notes.

“Basically, you want as few walls as possible. Furniture, instead, should differentiate

Export Maker Space will feature a blend of old-school, modern technology

If someone in Export has a good idea for a project, Tom Spears wants to give them the tools to make it happen.

“We want to hit all the ‘maker’ markets,” said Spears, who will open the Export Maker Space on Kennedy Avenue in the fall.

Spears has taken the former home of International Motorcars of Pittsburgh and replaced the BMWs and Mercedes with table saws and tool benches.

“My day job is a lot of staring at computers and sending emails,” said Spears, who works as an electrical engineering manager for Westinghouse. “But I work on projects all the time, and I’ve been steadily collecting equipment.”

When W.A. Hoy Construction put the space up for rental, Spears knew he’d found a spot.

“It’s perfect,” he said. “We have the bike

Modern Educational Trends 2020

Angelena Iglesia

Education trends are constantly evolving. As technology advances, so does the learning system. If we don’t keep up, it becomes impossible to provide students with learning opportunities that will prepare them for their future careers.

The need for traditional classroom studies is long gone. Now, it’s all about engaging students with chances that can help them grow. The ongoing pandemic has speeded things up a bit. Now professors have to familiarize themselves with the latest developments.

Here is a list of the most popular trends in education for 2020.

Without a doubt, incorporating both visual, audio, and video lectures in the classroom can take education to a whole new level.

“Much education today is monumentally ineffective. All too often we are giving young people cut flowers when we should be teaching them to grow their own plants.” – Eve Maygar, an educational specialist from the PapersOwl company.
