  1. cool, i was just using these features today for a handheld tablet computer app. It had to scale, not be responsive. Chrome is amazing. I use bootstrap . No time to mess with design stuff. 😆

  2. Damn, time files,. I remember designing with TABLES in the late 90s. Could you imagine today creating a complex layout with td,tr, etc??? I am going to book mark this vid for the future. I do so much dev and should concentrate more on design. I definitely learned something from this, I can use this grid instead of tables for data!.

  3. ~13:08 for replacing name template areas with symbols there's also the ascii box drawing, and unicode block elements and other characters. ╔══╗╚══╝.
Though always remember to at least make a comment that shows the relation from a regularly named area to the convenience symbol or you, or others, will regret it.
    ┌─┬┐ ╔═╦╗ ╓─╥╖ ╒═╤╕

    │ ││ ║ ║║ ║ ║║ │ ││

    ├─┼┤ ╠═╬╣ ╟─╫╢ ╞═╪╡

    └─┴┘ ╚═╩╝ ╙─╨╜ ╘═╧╛
One case for this is too help remind designers the grid is based on the gridline cartesian positions not the inner contents order position
