What is an Internet Service Provider?
Great video, can you review YouTube tv? Thank you

Have you ever thought about free apps like mobdro?bet the wife wouldn't like that or kodi lol..a shield is all you need ,65 for ps vue, that's wat I tried to get away from ,have you ever heard of set tv.20 a month and has all your tv channels.totally legit..
Kodi is the end all/beat all you'll ever need. And it's FREE. YouTube has all the info you'll ever need. Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
Aliexpress sells android boxs cheap
I need that shirt!
My only question would be, how do you get your wifi? we want to stop paying the $250 a month for Uverse. What is the best provider? we have the smart tv's with everything integrated just do not know whats the best way about getting wifi
Internet + Phone line = $40BitTorrent = $0Total = $40 per month.
How can anyone justify a subscription to cable television when you can buy a 4tb hard drive and start a collection of your own for less than $100. Online subscriptions by Netflix or Hulu cost around $10 a month with a reliable broadband internet connection. Amazon offers free video service with Amazon Prime although most of the shows are terrible. You can even rent movies and tv shows from a local library for free. There's really no excuse to be paying to watch movies and tv shows.
To everyone make sure you add 1. High speed internet cost typically 80 and above (you will most likely need it for a family household) 2. Whatever streaming service you want 20 and above these typically don't provide all the channels you'd like, like with cable companies, you'll need to pay more for channels you like to watch, which then increase your monthly cost there. The most IMPORTANT thing ease of use, they will not be as easy as typical cable several clicks to get to what you want to watch. Money can be saved, but for that extra savings be prepared for a learning curve.
If the fcc kills net neutrality then say goodbye to this because they'll start charging you for this
Can you watch local channels?
Here is a tip just in case you are just not ready yet to cut the cable line. Call your cable company and talk to the department that handles DISCONNECTIONS. Dont try it with customer service because they will not have the flexibility like their Disconnection department to offer deals. This department is the last line of defense for the cable company to keep you as a customer and will try their best to keep you on. You probably will get a significant cut on your bill and probably get offered better services. The reason for this is because no matter what that cable will always be at your home. They would rather get something for it then nothing.
We got ugly somehow: Antennas Co. were getting paid with advertisement THEN the cable companies asked for a monthly fee. Now we are trying to cut corners and are still watching advertisement on cable paying in time and money for the same services!! Then again trying to cheeze it out with a digital antenna+numeric recorder to skip all advertisements… And why/still do I find more relevant informations on the internet then on this stupid cable? only a moron would pay $200 a month for cable. thats $2400 a year. If they can get away with charging you $200 they will raise it to $300
You probably have high speed internet to support all those equipment plus ps vue, that's too much sacrifice & not much savings to cut the cord.
I Just purchased two outdoor antennas. One for my parent's home and one for my home. Can't wait to cut the cord on Directv!
We rarely watch TV live anymore; our DVR is heavily used. Does your setup allow for storing of shows to watch later?
I’m really considering cutting my U-verse TV, but I know when I do my internet would go up since it’s not bundled & AT&T is the only good internet provider where I live
Vivalive tv is the best 35$ a month no contract.
Please don't spread ad-speak. There is NO SUCH thing as an "HD Antenna". HD broadcasts use the same antenna tech we have always had…only the tuner changed.
I just cut the cord last week and I don’t miss it at all
PS vue was better and cheaper. Waste of money now.
rofl paying 65$ a month "saving money" also have netflix and hulu sure buddy
i really love my new tcl roku tv. as u say it makes it easier when its baked in. & their new remotes have volume & mute controls that work my home theater receiver so i only need one remote.
Great video. Just curious… If you have PS Vue for the TV channels, what have the antenna? Also, what are you using to watch OTA TV? Just a plug-in to your TV? Thanks.
Great video. I cut the cord years ago with a Clearstream antenna and am very happy with it. Note, if you get a TiVO it is better then cable. TiVO gives you a single, unified interface in which to watch all your content (OTA, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, etc.). Aside from having a single remote to control everything, you can also select the streaming services you subscribe to during setup, and then when you want to search for content, it only shows results available through those services. Also, the skip commercial feature is awesome!
65 a month is still a little steep for these kinds of services.
I am using directv now for now, just because of the channel lineup plus hbo for 5 bucks. It has some buffering issues and no dvr yet, but is ok.
I already knew most of what you had mentioned but this is an excellent Video. I don't say that lightly either. No bs. Short and to the point with dead-on info.
I did this myself…4 years ago! Gonna post my 4 year ago setup here, and then I'll post my current setup on the 18 month update video, so here it is: https://kit.com/qalsip1977/og-cord-cutter
What? You disconnected from services provided by cable because you were paying too much and now buy the same services provided over the internet for about a 1/3rd savings not counting the additional hardware you had to buy to connect to these channels. Going from $150 to $90 a month doesn't seem like that big of a bargain. Going from $90 a month to $6 a month is a much better deal which is what we show on our channel.
we did cut the cord, but a vastly different setup, check it out
"Cut the cord" ? So all this content is available OTA ?
I cut the cord years ago, went with no service, just internet, then added Hulu. Now I am shopping for a better service but not really seeing anything all that great out there that is really significantly better than cable. Now cable companies are offering streaming services and some even let you pick your own channels. In this video it looks like you are basically jumping from one frying pan to another frying pan. You're saving some money but you are not getting the same service, value, or amount of channels. You even said in your video the way you went is not as good as cable. I guess it comes down to what you are looking for and what makes one happy, I am gonna keep shopping around because I don't like the playstation vue option, it is expensive and just went up $10 for each service and you are getting less value when compared to cable. You are saving money because you have lowered your service package basically. You could have stayed with cable and did that, lol…

Oh! Yes try this www.setvnow.com and let us now about your review.
Don't u t don't you think you're a little too old for you to and why you need something modern that you like me to leave can be 60 something
Love Psvue but there dvr sucks it works when it wants to and it needs to be expanded by a couple minutes cause it cuts off end of shows when dvred
Easiest way to cut the coord is to just buy a good iptv service imo
I'm just awed by how organized the marketing is, uses all the brand's ads for content and the cool 3 products at the top of the description.
Of course roku isn't going to do Apple. Apple likes to keep everything proprietary and nonstandard so they can charge you an exorbitant price for their add-ons.
I'm using Vader streams and saving a bundle. Only $20.00 a month for 5 devices.
We cut the cord not because we wanted to save money we had no choice its been a few months we don't have a fancy flat screen with Netflix and all that crap we have a old fashioned box TV and a DVD player and were doing just fine
Appears to be a Fender Stratocaster Guitar hanging on the wall behind him.
I live in a valley between 2 mountains. No over the air.
The fact that you have to pay for cable AND watch commercials is a straight up slap in the face. Cutting the cord on principle is worth it even if you're paying the same amount.
Terrarium TV FTW!!!
What about free iptv?
i mean, after all it's said n done yer saving how much per month? i would love to cut cable out but not for sake of cutting it out without a viable solution….like almost paying substantially less than cable.
Why would waste 65 dollars on play station vue bundles. When i can watch anything i want for free using a tiger stream box. I Admit the buy in cost is high but to me its worth it.
What’s the best option if you have 7 TVs in one house?
Roku I wonder if goku named that
Wow what you pay for TV is what I'm paying for TV and internet.
Rocking the duck tail like it's 1999
I haven't watched a program on TV in over 5 years. That's when I cancelled Xfinity. Don't miss TV at all. Watching it makes you stupid and morally bankrupt.
80921.iditchedcabletv.com comes out in just a few weeks
Question– Have you found an easy way to view foreign TV channels such as Germany, French, Danmark (Scandinavian), Icelandic, and italian. Found French 24, and DW. Looking for one app if possible.
I cancelled cable 3 months ago but I've went back cable as of a week ago. Cutting the cord just doesn't work for my family right now. We blew thru our comcast data cap multiple times now. So with the cost of internet, the data overage fees, and the cost of the streaming service (that still didn't give us all the channels we wanted) it added up to be almost more than haveing cable. About $120 for internet plus 10 or 20 in fees (depending on how much we went over) and 70 for playstation vue and 10 for Netflix. That's over $200. We now pay 170 for cable tv (internet included) and we get all the channels we want. For us cord cutting didn't work.
It's been 1 month for me so far.I switched to another company for 100 Mbs internet, just as fast, with no monthly data limit.I put up an outside antenna, which cost me a total of < $50. Picture is as good or better than what the cable company provided.I bought a used 4 tuner TIVO Roamio off ebay, which works great. I have a DVR, the traditional grid schedule display, integrated Netlix & Hulu apps, so no input changing necessary. One remote to do everything.I connected an old external 1 TB hard drive, that I had laying around, so plenty of DVR storage space. I could manage fine without it.I bought a TIVO Mini to get everything on the 2nd TV.I switched cell phones plans, which saved me $4/month, and I get Netflix at no additional cost.I signed up to Hulu to try out for a while.I went from $221/month to $63/month, a savings of $154/month.I'm now paying $40 for internet, $15 for TIVO service, $8 for Hulu. All of my up front expenses will be covered in less than 2 months.
What is the best PAID-IPTV on Fire TV.
Amazon Fire TV is the best for me, get the 4K one it supports both hdtv and hdr and 4k.
thanks for helping me make the jump – have Cox as well and the experience has been bad!
But do I have to have internet to run Riki too
I don't know where the hell you live but here in the real world internet is shit. America is a joke if you want to live off of the internet. And now with a shit pai screwing us the cord is forever
cable is so dead
What about all other TVs we have one in the kitchen, family room, living room, two bedrooms, basement I even have one in the garage. I have to rent boxes for each TV which I never understood. Big company like Comcast can’t rent you one box where you can Bluetooth all other TVs come on. Give me a week bet I could figure it out. It’s tough to cut the cord because you still have to pay for internet, rent there modem, rent two HD boxes DVR and 4 small basic boxes all toll with no premiums my bill is $300 plus a month. What really pisses me off is while scrolling thru the bazillion channels most of them even lame ones require an additional subscription. So with my $300 a month package I can’t watch much of anything. Internet is only thing that works well. Need to get out of this without missing a beat. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t watch at all.
no desire to have cable couldnt care less to watch advertised programming bundled up for over 100 bucks a month … just need internet and ans steaming
Another really good box is the Amazon fire TV
As soon as he said apple tv! I know that cant be good
Hey this is gonna b a stupid question for someone with a setup like this but how would u go about watching sports games (NBA, NFL, CFB etc) canit through the Apple TV and if not can it be done through the X Box because I don’t own a Play Station thank you and great video
Can you do mirror link with rouko
Where are you getting your internet connection? Cable is no longer a problem, I need to know how to cut the internet provider itself. Can you advise on this?
I really enjoy your videos Sir. Keep it up the GREAT work.
PS Vue is really a great choice.
Spectrum has combated the 'online stream alternatives' very well if you have the right hardware. For $45/mo, you get 120+ channels and access to the app on Samsung TVs and the Xbox One to name a couple options. That + $45/mo for Internet, it's not bad. The taxes and fees kinda suck, though.
My husband replaced our old tv with a roku tv. Does that mean we no longer need cable tv services? My main love is YouTube and roku wants to charge 40! dollars?Does streaming mean that you don’t pay?
Have you tried the TiVo box? I am interested in having DVR or local OTA channels along with streaming. Thanks
My problem that because we stuck in a rental apartment because of signing a contract, and both cable company as Charter and the At&t they coulden't install the best service because as At&t technician told that is the cable running into our apartment has a bad cheap cable! So I bought many indoor/ attic antennas both still we have bad signal ! It is valley and the tower is far for 74-85 miles any advice .
Yeah he didn't really "cut the cable" so to speak all he did was redirect the money to Playstation Vue. You can never really totally cut the cable. Here in Australia we have a company called Fetch TV and all up for everything it's $30 a month, $20 a month for all 4 channel packs put together and $10 rental fee for the box which is really cheap. Compared to our main Pay TV provider Foxtel which is $150 a month Fetch TV is way cheaper. I know who I'd rather be giving money to Fetch TV.
If you have the Samsung smart TV and the spectrum internet u can get the spectrum TV app free it work with Samsung smart TV and the xbox one s and xbox one x
..whereas We’re paying $203 /month, and so a paltry $75 /month would serve us Well!
I was paying $100/month for cable and internet with Comcast, and I cut the cord. I ordered a digital antenna and use Netflix, plus a mobile WiFi hotspot. I will never go back to these overpriced cable companies!
IPTV Services 800 Channels $15 per month Shack TV Gears TV Expedite TV Excursion TV
Ridiculous video.. Like others have said, 65 for vue + internet.. lol.. whats the point ? For about $130 with xfinity, I get 150/20 mbps internet + cable ( including HBO and Showtime ) .. Been considering cutting the cord, but your video makes zero financial sense !
Just get a google Chromecast
I cut the cords and I am so happy!! Clicking my heels!! 😆
I have the fire stick and I find it much easier to use than the cable box a matter of fact I'll get more free channels when I bought the cable box
Can you make a video of hooking HD connect up to a synology network hard drive
What is that small accent light on your bookshelf at 0:50? The one washing the wall. I’ve seen it in a few videos but can’t find it when searching online.
I'm saving $1,450. So freaking happy. Now if I can have my old cable provided stop coming to my house and asking to go back to there services. NOPE!
I like your ideas on how to save money on cable
We cut cable. But you’ve got what 5 others devices for either tv?!? And several services for the same. How the F are you saving anything. Think of the poor Chinese and Bangladeshi children slaving away just so your wife doesn’t have to off her fat ass to turn off the lights. Shame shame SHAAAAME on you!
I’m kidding. I’m jealous of anyone who can order a beard grooming kit through an app on his tv. Millennials.
External Antennas might be better for your over the air!
May as well keep cable then. 65/month for playstation about 100 for Internet and everything else you need you end up paying the same or more. To save you need ti give up alot.
Kodi + addons = $0 a month. Still not a bad option the way you guys went with the whole family using it either. We use Kodi on firesticks and can't possibly even try to consume any more content lol. Different strokes though, and thanks for the info!
Is your Sonos used for tv audio? If so how
