Demi Lovato’s new home is in the decidedly more low-key L.A. neighborhood of Studio City, but the house itself is still fit for a superstar. According to Variety, the singer recently dropped $7 million for the stylish pad, less than three months after selling off her longtime Sunset Strip–adjacent property in the Hollywood Hills. This newly built modern farmhouse measures a spacious 8,500 square feet and boasts six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, with all the trappings of a celebrity mansion and less of the bustle of Hollywood’s busy streets. The exterior features a graphite and cream palette, and the front door opens onto a sleek double-height front entryway with wide-plank hardwood floors. Subtle accent walls (a deep forest green in the formal dining area) and textures (a wood-paneled floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace in the living room) add character to the sleek spaces, and a bank of glass sliders in both the dining room and family room create an indoor-outdoor flow. The kitchen, built around an oversize white marble–topped center island, features subway tiles and an unusual wood stove hood.
The main suite is generously proportioned, with a corner office space, plenty of built-in shelves for storage and display, and its own minimalist fireplace. The en suite bathroom is spa-style with multiple vanities, a glass-enclosed waterfall shower, and a modern deep-soaking tub. A spacious fitted walk-in closet and dressing room even boasts its own crystal chandelier. Entertainment spaces include a soundproof theater with stadium seating, a home gym, an elevator, and a lounge with a full wet bar and a view of the subterranean garage. (There is also a primary, more classic garage situated on the grounds.)
Out back, a refreshing pool and spa are positioned to one side, while a full outdoor kitchen with built-in grill are located on the other. A guest house, fire pit, and covered patio round out the property’s offerings. Lovato owned her Hollywood Hills home for approximately four years, having purchased it for $8.3 million in 2016. She listed it two years later and ultimately sold it this past June for $8.25 million.
