YouTube, you BROKE THE LAW! Plus some other rants

This video is not made for kids.If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you should probably head into the YouTube Studioand check your settings.Because this could impact your ad revenue, and could possibly get you a fine if you’re not compliant. And by the way Twitter, the next time you block of my other accounts,
I’ll sue your butt faster than singing the “Battle Breakers” theme song!
Not only did my “official” Twitter account get blocked twice, but now Fi-chan got herself blockedespecially over a stupid little name change! Now you can easily deal with people that don’t own cell phones
by asking them for their driver’s license!
※ Sound bugs!※ Sound bugs! Now that wasn’t the real reason for this rant:YouTube put in a setting that everyone has to put in by years’ end or we’re all gonna get fined※ Does not work when videos are set to “age-restricted” manually or based on Community Guidelines※ Does not work when videos are set to “age-restricted” manually or based on Community GuidelinesNobody wants to see their hard-earned ad-revenue go down the drain! But at the same time we don’t know what “made for kids” content exactly is!Most of the channels, I’ve acknowledged, have set their global channel
“COPPA” settings as having content “not made for kids”
And this comes at the heels of an FTC settlementrequiring that YouTube abide by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998.※ Including subsequent revisions. Why they chose not to abide by it
when the site opened in 2007 is beyond anyone’s guess.

when the site opened in 2007 is beyond anyone’s guess.
It’s a 21-years-old law that’s mandatory for all website operators to followespecially if you’re an online forum or social media platform.※ Glares suspiciously over to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg※ Glares suspiciously over to Facebook founder Mark ZuckerbergThat kinda brings me back to an online forum I registered for back in 2004.22 years old and I finally get the Internet installed to the house…Some admin (ab)users on the Starmen.net forums decide to ban me because I “acted underage”.I still haven’t forgave them for that!Especially around that point in time they were still running that illegal MMORPG server
–and then charged money for it!
I would have pressed charges when I had the chanceBut before I had a chance to retort, I got banned off the forum. So whoever’s out there running Starmen.net currently…Please look into whatever happened to my login accountand then determine the logistics of getting it restored,
especially now that it doesn’t have a working email address behind it anymore.
I won’t post any email addresses up here. There might be spam-bots with screen grabbers that might optically read
and then harvest any address that comes off of this video.
You’ll need to refer me to your business inquiry email on your channel page instead.Judging by how long it’s been, were coming up to 15 years already. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act does not mean
use it on somebody with a mental disability!
And you wonder why I get so upset when I lose a lot of games,
that’s because of that little tidbit that popped up moments ago…
Especially back over on Overwatch!Especially when I was just in there trying to get that new skin they had up.So Jeff Kaplan, if you’re watching this video:can’t you make this game a lot less over-bearingfor the mentally-challenged people trying to play this? The same thing going for that “Overwatch 2” that’s fixing to come out.Now I do want to call out this D.Va playerbecause I think I kinda caught them hacking? So I’ll leave y’all with this replay footage. So you get the whole idea on this COPPA thing:If you want to make ad revenue but don’t want to cater to children, select “No, these videos are not made for kids”.When you go into the YouTube Studio for the first time, go into the Advanced settings tab in Channel settings. But if you’re the exact opposite, like if you have child actors, cartoons, child attractive keywords, educational programming and nursery rhymes,or maybe you don’t want the unnecessary attention of online predators, set the channel as “made for kids”.Alright, I’ma head out — Like and Subscribe if you liked this videoand press the bell button to get notified of any new uploads/And as always, have a nice day!  You have been watching the SmoggyLamb Gaming channel! This channel is not sponsored or endorsed by either Epic Games or Blizzard Entertainment.
These videos were done as a hobby and I don’t even get paid for it.

  1. There were some sound issues after making the video, but some of it were resolved in post, but I ended up slapping in the captions for good measure. Although there were multiple attempts at uploading caption files at the video. If you can't hear what I'm saying in the part where the sound is screwed up at, just press the [C] button to turn on the captions.
